BAG-LESS SCHOOL

School without Heavy Bags

A school in Kerala doesn't have bag that's breaks back of the children..

A Govt. school LPS Tholikkode in Punalur(Kerala), already earned the title of Bag-lees school, as the student of that school do not have to bring the bag daily. The student were provided two sets of books, one by Govt. and other by the contribution of Parent Teacher Association(PTA).
One set of books are left in school while another will be at home.
They are provided a thin notebook(40 pages) for their homework. School provides light weight bag to carry their pens, pencils, notebooks etc.

This is a welcome step by the school administration. This should be started in another school also. This is a facepalm for the private school. They issue a bunch of books for the student.Even for little kid who are in pre school phase just for the profit they get from the publishers.

I remember my school days, we had given list of books having list of 18 books for six subjects. One was main course book of NCERT and two was reference book from different publishers for ecah subjects. That makes our bag heavy.

But the initiative taken by the school in kerala is a good one. This will encourage others school to follow the path.
Govt. should also encourage this type of method to decrease the burden of kid..

DIWALI

First of all "HAPPY DIWALI" to all..

Today is Diwali, festival of lights celebrated across the country..
IT is the sign of victory of goodness over evil.

People celebrate by lighting Diyas. During using firecrackers we must maintain some preventive measures to avoid accidents:

1.Use earplugs while exposed to explosive firecrackers. It might sound a bit fancy, but if we ignore it the excessive noise might damage our ears in long run.

2.Keep children away from firecrackers. Don't give them explosive firecrackers.

3.Always be with children during fireworks.

4.Always keep First-Aid box near by.

5.Don't apply cream or anything on burnt area.

Try to be ECO-FRIENDLY.
These crackers contains harmful gases which damages our environment.
Also many tragic accident happens every year.

Once again HAPPY DIWALI to all.
May goddess of wealth Show her mercy on everyone.

just read :
PM Narendra Modi decides to celebrate diwali in Srinagar with the floods victim..
He announced it on his official twitter account.
After his announcement some people started to link this with politics.
On the other hand some politicians has welcomed this..

I can't understand why they are opposing. One party has said that "its better if they celebrate Eid in J&K".
I jst asked "whether they would celebrate Diwali.."
I think that it is unfair to link all incident with politics.
especially with politicians.
And suppose they r doing for politics, let it be; atleast they r doing something.
atleast this will provide moral boost to the local people and help govt. to establish relations with public directly..
this step of our PM will strengthen the relation and give an advantage over separatist in Jammu & Kashmir....
